Te Tinana/Our Body

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa. Greetings to you all.

It is Te Wiki o te Reo Māori /Māori Language Week so we are taking the opportunity to celebrate and learn te reo Maori in Room 1.  

We have been learning and saying the Maori names for parts of our body.  

We used an app on the iPads called Skitch to label our mahunga, pakihiwi, puku, hope and waewae.

Our 'Kiwiana' Shared Lunch

To end a fantastic term of learning, and to celebrate Jenna’s time in Room 1,  we had a fabulous shared lunch on Thursday. We had amazing treats to enjoy!

Kiwiana! Lamingtons, mini pavlovas, cheese and pineapple, carrot sticks and dip, pizza and sausage rolls, jelly tip biscuits, lolly cake, fairy bread...

...mouse traps, chips and dip, chocolate cake, popcorn, anzac biscuits...
