Last week it was Maori Language Week - Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori.
We have being practising saying our Maori words correctly and we have been learning lots of new words.
We sang Mahunga - it helps us learn all the Maori words for the parts of our body.

Te Tinana/Our Body
Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa. Greetings to you all.
It is Te Wiki o te Reo Māori /Māori Language Week so we are taking the opportunity to celebrate and learn te reo Maori in Room 1.
We have been learning and saying the Maori names for parts of our body.
We used an app on the iPads called Skitch to label our mahunga, pakihiwi, puku, hope and waewae.
