Learning to use Easy Blogger

Today the clever children in Room 1 learned to use an app on the iPads called Easy Blogger.  Using Easy blogger the children can create their own blog posts by creating videos, taking photos and adding text all by themselves.  Today they worked with a buddy to record each other reading their Pumpkin Song.  Well Done Room 1!

Red's Adventures

Red had a fabulous first outing visiting Cameron and his family. He had lots of fun and enjoyed playing with Cameron's cousins and visiting the library.  Thank you Cameron for taking such great care of Red.
Today Red left for a holiday in Australia.  I wonder what adventures he'll have over there?

Red's bag is packed and he's ready to board the airplane.

The Leaf Boat Race

We made leaf boats and had a leaf boat race at the school pool.  We went back and wrote stories about what we did...

Riley's boat went too fast because it sailed the high winds.  I said, "Wow, Riley's was fast."  Mine sunk to the bottom of the pool.

Sebastian

We made leaf boats today and we went to the pool.  We put the leaf boats in the water.  We blew and blew and blew.  My leaf didn't go fast.

Ahniqua

We had a leaf boat race.  Riley's boat zoomed.  Everyone's boats were slow even my boat was slow.  Some sunk too and the water was a little bit calm.

Waiariki

We went to the pool.  My boat sunk.  My boat is a leaf boat.  I went to Paki's paddock to pick a leaf.  My leaf was yellow.

Pippa

Riley's leaf boat zoomed across the pool and my leaf was really slow.  Riley won.  I wanted to win.

Mixing Colours

We grew a pumpkin in our garden and this week we decided to have a 'pumpkin week!'
We drew pumpkins with a black pastel.  Then Mrs Blakesley gave us 3 paint colours - RED, YELLOW and BLUE to paint our pumpkins but we needed orange and green.
We discovered that RED, BLUE and YELLOW are called primary colours and that we could mix them to make ORANGE and GREEN.

We were very clever at mixing the colours to make new colours!
